While Coloring:

  • Read the lion fact out loud
  • Ask: “What color should we make the lion’s mane?”
  • Count things in the picture (How many whiskers? How many paws?)

After Coloring:

  • Ask: “What new thing did you learn about lions?”
  • Have your child tell you about their colored picture
  • Ask: “Where do you think this lion lives?”

Lion Body Parts Game: Point to parts of the lion and say the name. Have your child repeat: “mane,” “tail,” “paws,” “whiskers.”
