Help your child learn more about bats with these easy activities:

While Coloring:

  • Read the bat fact out loud.
  • Ask: “What color should we make the bat’s wings?”
  • Count things in the picture (How many wings? How many ears?)

After Coloring:

  • Ask: “What new thing did you learn about bats?”
  • Have your child tell you about their colored picture.
  • Ask: “What makes bats special animals?”

Super Simple Activities:

Bat Body Parts Game: Point to parts of the bat and say the name. Have your child repeat: “wings,” “ears,” “eyes,” “claws.”

Word Learning: New words your child can learn: mammals, flying, wings, nocturnal, cave, flutter.

Story Time: Ask your child to make up a short story about their colored bat. Where does it live? What does it do at night?

These simple activities help build vocabulary, observation skills, and memory while having fun!
